Thanks Dick for mentioning it. I went through all of the messages on the system and found that someone figured out a flaw in the underlying software and found they could over-write the messages which they promptly did. All of the messages were replaced by messages advertising a multitude of things. At least the few I saw were pointing people to some Asian sites. I went back to an old backup of the site I had made years ago and recovered all of the old content. I also removed the files that allow posting and changed the security settings on the folders so new files can't be written. So the old content is again viewable. My apologies for the delay. Although it has been months and Dick was the only one to mention it, it doesn't hurt to have those pages available to read and I'm assuming there are others with an interest in any info they can get a hold of about our boats. (Including me) By the way, within the few minutes of having the site up and running before I changed permissions three new files were created! So whatever changes they could make, they obviously set up automation to continue what they were doing and still have it running now. Thanks again, Larry Brown Moderator 08/22/08 We have something new going on. Apparently there has been a bug in the script that offered archived information from the sites main page. I am having to disable access to the archives until further notice. If there is something present in those pages you specifically need access to, please contact me directly.
